Shreyas is very inspired by the Indian spiritual practice of looking deep within the Self for answers to questions of existence and being. We are dedicated to helping our guests achieve a perfect balance in body, mind and spirit, through the medium of Yoga, which is non denominational and open to people of all faiths. We demonstrate through our various customised programs that contrary to popular belief - Yoga can be practiced by everyone. Yoga has an amazing effect on our body and mind energies allowing us to deal with life's bouquets and brickbats with sense of equanimity. We appeal to those who wish to understand/familiarise themselves with the philosophical tradition of India, without necessarily delving into its organised religious aspects.

Rooms

Shreyas has 14 exclusive rooms that can accommodate a maximum of 25 people on a sharing basis.

Cottages
3 en-suite cottages that overlook the signature swimming pool.
One 3-bedroom cottage (with en-suite bathrooms) with its own living room is designed for a group of friends who wish to share the experience in close proximity of each other.

Tents
8 elegantly designed tents are set in a peaceful environment amidst the trees and flowering shrubs. Each tent accommodates two people, and has an en suite bathroom that open onto a private walled courtyard.

All rooms and tents are air conditioned, have ISD/STD lines as well as Broadband Internet connections to keep you in touch with family and work.

Facilities

Outdoor yoga & meditation hall
Qualified yoga instructors will guide you through asanas (physical postures), breathing, awareness and visualization processes for a healthier body and mind as well as enable internalization. This space can also be used for outdoor lectures and we can provide you with the required AV equipment.

An open-air amphitheatre
for outdoor presentations and shows against the backdrop of nature.

Library
An extensive variety of books are available for reading. Should you wish to borrow a book during your stay with us, please inform one of the members of the staff.

Swimming Pool & Jacuzzi
The water in our pool with an infinity edge appears to cascade down to the meditation/yoga hall in the distance. The temperature of the pool varies from 25 degress Celcius to 30 degrees Celcius, depending on the weather. (December is the coldest month and March is the warmest)
The pool and jacuzzi are available for your use between the hours of 6 am till 10 pm. There is no lifeguard on duty and the pool has a maximum depth of 5 feet.

A conference room
with modern audio-visual equipment, including a LCD projector and screen. The room has a home theatre for watching presentations, learning videos etc.

Gym
The gym is equipped with a treadmill, cross trainer and abdominal exercise equipment. It is available for your use 24 hours. Please bring separate footwear for this activity.

Home Theatre
A large selection of movies, documentaries on spirituality, science, nature and philosophy are available for your viewing pleasure.

TV
The facilities and activities at Shreyas are designed to encourage reflection on what is most important - your life. We therefore hope you will not miss the presence of a TV in your room.

Cricket nets and bowling machine
For cricket enthusiasts, we have a cricket net along with a professional bowling machine they can test their batting skills against.

Other Information

Meals
Gourmet vegetarian meals, with flavours from India, Southern Europe and the Orient, are carefully planned to complement the lifestyle you will be experiencing at the retreat. Meals are served at specific times in the dining hall, or al fresco in the lawns.

Room Service
A limited menu is available for in-room dining, at an extra charge.

Local/ISD/STD calls
All calls will be charged to your account at cost plus appropriate government taxes.

Internet connection
Should you wish to use your laptop to connect to the Internet, we will arrange for a LAN lead to be delivered to your tent/cottage.

Drinking Water
The water in the retreat has been purified by passing it though a softening plant, ozone system, ultra violet and reverse-osmosis process. It is perfectly safe for drinking but we appreciate you may prefer to have bottled water, which will be charged to your account.

Room Cleaning
Rooms will be cleaned once a day. Should you require additional cleaning, please let one of the staff members know

Towels/Linen etc
To reduce environmental damage by washing detergents, towels/linens will be provided for the duration of your short stay and changed only on request.

Laundry
Laundry service is available on request.

Swimming Pool Towels
These are available by the poolside.

Steam Room
If you wish to use the steam room facilities, please give us 15 minutes time to operate the equipment.

Yoga

Yoga Asanas
Yogasana classes at Shreyas are, conducted by our experienced instructors, based on both classical Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Twice daily group classes are included in the stay for all guests at Shreyas. Apart from the Yogasana classes, guests can participate in sessions on Pranayama (understanding and regulating our breath), Pratyahara (withdrawal / internalization of sensory inputs), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) processes drawn from the Patanjali Yoga Sutras – ancient Yogic doctrine that aims to integrate our body, mind and soul for complete living.

Hatha Yoga Classes
Hatha Yoga (pronounced as Hut-a Yoga) treats the body as an instrument to master the mind and enable us to attain higher states of consciousness.
